For our wedding we bought 5 dozen mason jars from walmart and painted them blue. This was way cheaper than buying blue mason jars. I used Vitrea azure glass pain from Michael's. Gently paint the outside of the jars and bake at 325 for 45 minutes. (it gets pretty smelly!) I also used a paper cutter from Michael's.
Be sure not to do this more than a couple months before you want to use them. Over time the paint begins to chip. The flowers pictured are red ranunculus that I bought it bulk from a Houston flower shop. I bought about 15 dozen and put about 6 to 7 in each jar.
